During our research, we asked ourselves which petition would be the most meaningful and effective to support. In the process, we came across a striking campaign titled “Return Ukrainian Children Abducted by Russia #BringKidsBack” on Change.org. It has already gathered over 12,700 verified signatures and is directly linked to the Bring Kids Back UA Task Force — an initiative launched by the Ukrainian government in cooperation with partner countries and international organisations. 

Unlike many petitions that merely express hurt or outrage, this one sets out a clear, actionable plan, including:

1. Calling on the international community to publicly condemn and demand the return of every Ukrainian child abducted since the Russian invasion. 

2. Demanding that Russia provide full data access to international organisations about Ukrainian children on its territory — their whereabouts, name changes, family placements or adoptions. 

3. Seeking access for international missions to facilities in Russia and in territories temporarily occupied where Ukrainian children are being held. 

4. Demanding continued humanitarian support to Ukraine: the rescue of children at risk of deportation or forced displacement, reintegration services for returning children, and financial backing to support these efforts. 

We believe that financial support plays a crucial role in enabling such concrete steps — from humanitarian rescue to reintegration and tracking of missing children. Because of the petition’s strong foundation, global reach, and clearly defined goals, we kindly ask you to consider supporting it.
